The division 1 Saturday leaders Grange United were held to a 2-2 draw away to Dynamo Rooskey, Alan Duignan with Rooskey’s equaliser, a Max Brady penalty was enough for Inny FC to beat Longford Celtic.

In Div 3 Saturday action it was a hard fought draw between the top two Melville Celtic and Newtown FC. Eoin O Connor was the hero for Melville with a penalty to ensure they stay top.

Shinrone had a fine away win on Saturday night under the lights inWillowParkin their Premier Division clash, Del Morkan with both goals for Shinrone.

In the Leinster Junior shield there were defeats for Killeigh, Edenderry B, Raheen and Ericcson’s Athlone but Clara Town B team had a famous win against Lourdes Celtic to progress

In the Premier division, Melville Utd with hat tricks from Gary Stephens and Gary O Connor beat Clonaslee to move into 2nd place after Gallen were defeated at home to CK Utd. Paul Kinnarney scored the winner in a fantastic game. Rosenallis also beat Mullingar Ath andMullingarTownbeat Derry Rovers

Div 1 action saw Abbeyleix win away vs.TempleVilla. Stephen Hawkins again with the important goal for Abbeyleix. Noreside beat Highfield and Clonmore had a good home win vs. Ballinahown. In the other remaining game, Clonbonny and Stradbally played out a draw

Div 2 saw a James Mahon goal kick-start a Coolraine comeback to defeat Gentex 4-2 after Gentex raced into a early 2 goal lead. Moate Celtic had a good 2-0 win at home toDynamoTown. Div 3A saw Cloneygowan go top of the table. MJ Pierce scored twice for Cloneygowan in a good win vs. Portlaoise B. Rochfortbridge beat Ballycumber while St. Aengus vs.Arlingtonand Killavilla vs. Daingean were draws.

Div 3B saw Banagher, Raharney and Gallen all win away.

Div 4A saw the Midland Celtic move to the top of the table while Portlaoise C team and Mountmellick B teams also recorded wins.

Div 4B saw a Eddie Keenaghan goal keep East End Celtic’s winning run continue while Frankford kept in touch by beating 3rd place Derry Rovers. St. Carthages, Raharney and Clonmore also won.

In the Women’s division Mullingar athletic are the new leaders after they beat Killeigh 4-2 while goals from Rachel Kearns and Rosin Sweeney helped riverside beat Edenderry. Tullamore had a good 1-0 away win in Birr.
