Child Protection Officers course

Hi All,

Please see below details of upcoming courses. Another Child Protection Officers course will be run shortly. As the Children’s first bill has come in all people involved with children and people that may be at risk must complete the below course. Each club must also have a child protection officer and attend the training. All volunteers must also be garda vetted please contact your league to enquire if this has not already been done. All of these have to be completed by March. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Code of Ethics, Child Protection in Sport, Basic Awareness Training

We have also scheduled 4 Code of Ethics, Child Protection in Sport, Basic Awareness Training Courses taking place over the coming months.

We currently have places available for this 3 hour training course on each of the following dates (only necessary to attend on one evening):

Monday the 25^th of March

Monday the 29^th of April

Monday the 27^th of May

Course duration: 3 hours

Venue: Portlaoise Leisure Centre

Time: 6.00 – 9.00pm

Cost: €20 per person (discounts available for groups of 3 or more)

Certified by the Irish Sports Council
