Club Initiative scheme launched for FAI Cup finals
Free tickets available for finals day
All clubs and schools are being offered the opportunity to experience the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup and the Continental Tyres FAI Women’s Cup for FREE.
The finals are set to take place on Sunday, November 4 at the Aviva Stadium, the most important day in the Irish domestic calendar as it concludes the 2018 season.
All Under 16 clubs and below are being offered the opportunity to avail of free tickets as well as schools to help them experience the atmosphere of finals day at the Aviva Stadium.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer free tickets to all clubs and schools across the country to help them join us in the most important day in the Irish domestic calendar,” said FAI Competitions Director Fran Gavin.
“We want the two FAI Cup finals to become a real celebration of the domestic game and we want all clubs to join us on finals day so people get to experience the atmosphere of finals day.
“The way the two competitions are shaping up, it looks like we’re going to have two fantastic finals on our hands and we’d love to see as many clubs and schools there as possible to experience our two headline matches of the season.”
The Football Association of Ireland has directed that Sunday, November 4 is a closed day for football across the country to help clubs attend the final.
Clubs or schools wishing to avail of the offer have to sign up through the club initiative application form
