Just a brief not to inform you on the sad news of the passing of Richard Kennedy.
Richard has been an Honorary Vice President of our league since he retired from our Committee a number of years ago. Richard was one of the former Leinster Football League Committee members people who strongly supported the decision of clubs to break away from the LFL and to reunite the OWL, with the Combined Counties Football emerging as a result. He was a great football man with an endearing passion for youths football while also being a Divisional Manager for Saturday teams for many years. While it has been a while since Richard has been active with us, he remained very proud of his connections to our league and continued to support the league in any way he could.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Georgina, to his extended family members and his many friends.
We are asking all clubs and officials to observe a minutes silence ahead of all CCFL games this weekend as a mark of respect.
