John Aldridge’s Liverpool Legends football team are coming to Birr on 1st April to play a fundraising game for our local schools. The team for the day is scheduled to be: Bob Boulder, Gary Gillespie, Phil Babb, Ronnie Whelan, Ray Houghton, Phil Neal, John Wark, Michael Thomas, Jason McAteer, Alan Kennedy, John Aldridge.
The game will take place in Frank O’Connell Park, Birr at 2.30 on 1st April. The team will sign autographs at the pitch for an hour and a half after the game.
At 8.30 that night there will be a table quiz in the Co Arms Hotel, Birr. The team will be attending and participating in the quiz and while there will be some sports questions, the main questions will be general knowledge. Alan Kennedy, Jason McAteer and John Aldridge will provide entertainment on the evening and food will be served.
