CCFL Appoint New Interleague Manager

The CCFL have made another invaluable coup in the further roll out of their underage blueprint for the future of Youths Football in the region with the appointment of one of the most respected coaches in the Midlands Mr.Tony O’Sullivan.

Tony cut his teeth as a player initially with St.Peters in Athlone where he won numerous honours as a striker without peer; during this time he was selected to represent the LFA against a crack German outfit from Westphalia and scored twice against the visitors. Tony naturally graduated to the League of Ireland and spent 3 Years with Athlone Town before finishing his playing career where he started as player manager with St.Peters.

He then moved into Management with great success at schoolboy level winning the Kennedy Cup Shield for the ADSL before reverting to Senior level with St.Peters and subsequently Willow Park where he has ensured their place as one of the leading Junior Soccer Clubs in the Country with their Leinster Junior Cup win in 2010 as well League and Cup dominance in the CCFL.

Tony who currently holds a youth cert licence will now put plans in place to transfer this success to the CCFL Youths with the formation of a squad who will compete in a U17 Competition in the New Year before entering one of Irelands foremost Competitions the Umbro Cup in August and then the FAI Interleague Competition in 2013.
