It is with great sadness that we announce news of the passing of Mrs. Una Kelly, mother of League Chairman, Jimmy Kelly. On behalf of the Executive Committee, the clubs, the players and the officials of the league we extend our deepest sympathies to Jimmy’s family and friends. May she rest in peace.
Bereavement notice and funeral details:
Una Kelly, nee Kavanagh, late of Kelly’s Bar, Main Street, Mountrath. Died 29th July peacefully after a long illness bravely borne.
Pre-deceased by her husband Tom. Reposing at her son John’s home at Roundwood, Mountrath from 3pm on Thursday evening followed by rosary
at 9pm. Removal on Friday morning to St Fintan’s Church, Mountrath for funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St Fintan’s cemetery,
Mountrath. House private on Friday morning please. Family flowers only, donations to Laois Hospice or National Council for the Blind of
Ireland
The Executive Committee, clubs, players and officials of the league also extend deepest sympathies to the Quinn family Athlone and members of Melville Celtic, on the sad passing of club Chairman Mr. Sonny Quinn last weekend. May he also rest in peace.
