You may be aware that legal changes have and are being introduced regarding: –
- Garda vetting for persons working with children and vulnerable adults
- Mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse
In order to make sports clubs in Offaly aware of their new statutory obligations as well as informing clubs of what now needs to be put in place within their clubs, Offaly Sports Partnership will be hosting an information workshop on Tuesday, 14th May at 8pm in the Millennium Room of the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore. A representative of the Irish Sports Council will address the meeting.
This is a free workshops but advance booking is essential as this workshop will be confined to a maximum of 40 attendees. Due to expected demand, we are limiting the number of representatives from each club to a maximum of two people.
Should you wish to book your place or request further information on this workshop, please contact me at the details below or my colleague Eamonn Henry on 086 7948054 or by email to ehenry@offalycoco.ie
