Match Report

LOFFA FC were comprehensively beaten by runaway leaders Portlaoise Shamrocks on Sunday. Unfortunatley due to injuries and personal circumstances,  only fourteen could travel for the game today. This left us short in key postitions, however despite what the score suggested, the players of the day done remarkably well and once more the scoreline flattered the opposition.
LOFFA FC had their chances, Christopher O Neill fashioning himself an opportunity and substitute Mark Gorman almost opened up the opposition. O Neill has put in some great performances of late and this standard did not drop today. Paul Hoolihan once more showed his versatilty and done an excellant job in goals, whilst Lee Sheridan springed into action at centre half. Chris dent was always looking to fashion more opportunities and this was supported as ever by the hard working David Finn in midfield.
But tribute to Portlaoise Shamrocks. They went about their business well and scored some extraordinary goals. Shamrocks are the complete article and it is a standard we wish to achieve very soon. We wish them very well.
There will be only one training session this week. This will be at the Portlaoise Leisure centre on Wednesday 8.00 pm. All players are asked to attend as we need to prepare for Sundays game.
